Down-Out Fashion

Sometimes it doesn't come out as planned.

Outside and inside - a raging fire.

Wake up one morning and things aren’t the same, in fact, they’re gone forever. Pick up a newspaper on the way by the kitchen counter at home. . .and find that everything, your thoughts, your dreams, your future. . .have been irrevocably changed.

Contemplative.

Explosions cast shadows.

And it was all without your permission. There was nothing you could do to stop it. Your government didn’t listen. You probably didn’t vote. You were probably just trying to make it from day-to-day. And now what? For what? Went to college, got straight A’s. . got a business degree, went to Wall Street. . .or maybe you just struggled to make ends meet? And now what? For what?

But they did it. They ruined the economy. They waged wars. They ruined the environment. What chance did a young person really have in this world? Everyone else has a piece of the pie and they ain’t sharing. Not even when it’s all over.

So now, two young men, no one gives a care about. . .what are they going to do? Can they at least find some humanity between each other?

Ways to Cope

We Can Always Deal With It

Maybe by the patio by the pool. Maybe someone has some wine and some wine glasses, a little table, a couple chairs. It’s got to make sense eventually. Right? Nothing can’t be figured out. Just give it an analysis.

Looking at it won't make it go away.

Facing Reality

I mean, it’s not like we did this to ourselves, did we? We did all the right things. We earned money. We earned lots of money, to be safe. We’re safe, right?

Fine Wine for Fine Times

A toast that burns as it goes down.

Man, you know, let’s have a toast. It’s not like we needed this sh*t. It’s not our fault. Heck, I’m kind of glad they did it. What do we have left to worry about now?

Nothing.

Consolation

Don't Worry About It

What’s wrong man? What, you don’t like being free? You don’t like being with me? C’mon, man. Get over it, it was bound to happen, anyway. Hey I mean–

Here you go.

Got Anything?

–you probably wanted this yourself, you know? Now you can hold it in your hands.

But after a bit of drink, who wants to sit around the house? Let’s put on our suits, and go out and conquer the world! Let’s make some money, dood! Let’s “earn a living,” or rather, “earn a right to live.” So put on your suit and go out and find a job.

Get Hardcore

So they got hard core.

But you know, nothing is given to you in life. A lot is taken from you, but very little is actually given to you. That’s why you got to reach. You have to reach for the stars. You have to reach for glory. You understand? REACH FOR GLORY.

Got Ho's?

Just falling down the same old hole over and over again.

In the end, see, these young men are giving their minds to our society. Because young people today have so many opportunities, what with everyone else being out of a job and all. So, this is an ode to adults and to the world the last several generations have created. The older you are. . .the better! Now, let’s get back to doing what humans do best–Making Money and Cha$ing the Dollar!
